Mondays - Introduction to Atelier
9:30 - 12:30 Four Weeks Cost: $200

The Atelier program curriculum is divided into 3 sections: Introduction to Drawing, Anatomy of Form, Painting materials and Techniques. With an unwavering emphasis on fundamental exercises, and nurturing esthetics our goal is to help bring the Artist's intention to life through technical excellence and sound knowledge.
Tuesdays - Youth Art Academy - Atelier for Teens - 12-18 years old
9:30am - 12:30 Six Weeks Cost: $200
Instructor: Sandra Wakeen
Building on the foundation of the old masters, this class is open to those students who want a complete and formal art experience in a professional artist’s studio.
Wednesdays - Youth Art Academy - Young Masters - 6-11 years old
1:00 - 2:30 Six Weeks Cost: $95
Thursdays - Cast Drawing August - October
10:00 - 1:00 Eight Weeks Cost: $250
Instructor: Ann Sack
Using the sight-size method, students will block in contours, define major light and shadow shapes, and progress from a generalized structure to greater degrees of focus. Emphasis will be on seeing and describing form accurately from centered observation. Students will work toward completing a fully modeled drawing. This class is great for any artist at any level wanting to fine tune their drawing skills.

10:00am - 1:00pm Any Saturday Cost: $40
This is a session where one can bring in any project they wish to work on, improve, or be critiqued. Sandra can also guide or begin the student in a new project of their choice. Attendees should bring their own art supplies. Easels, tables are provided.
Sundays - Life Drawing or Painting
9:30am - 3:00pm Cost: $15
Painting and drawing from a model. This is a monitored session, non - instructional. No need to register ahead of time. All artists are welcomed, beginners to advanced.

Plein Air Workshop - June 26, 27, 28

Students will learn how to approach the landscape starting with abstraction and simplicity of shapes. We will start with the field study and evolve into a finished landscape. Meet at the Gallery, 62 South Rd in Somers CT. Students may bring examples of their work for critique. Beginner to advanced students are welcomed.
Sculpting the Portrait in Clay Monday, July 20 - Friday, July 25
9:30 -4:00 Cost: $325

Students will sculpt for 5 days from a live model. Oil based clay or water based clay can be used. Susan is known for offering students a friendly step by step approach to sculpting.This workshop reveals a beautiful medium to further your understanding of portraying the portrait.
