Prepare to reconsider familiar objects as artists represent them in such a way as to illuminate their beauty and reveal them as anything but commonplace. Composed of contemporary still life works of extraordinary brilliance, this exhibit pays homage to a tradition of artwork reaching back to ancient times. Varied in media, style, and artistic authorship, pieces are united by their impeccable design, meticulous rendering, and ability to allude to meaning below the surface. Featuring selected works by Jane Puerini, Sandra Wakeen, Mary Jane Q. Cross, Mark H. Brown, Brian MacNeil, Anatoly Dverin and others.
